Description:

Just a few common ones that I got. Please try to think through your thoughts. Don't just say " It won't work" ... This idea that roads or trash would not be taken care of ... is ... rather silly. Most people don't settle for easy answers, but they ask easy questions.

The theory of the way that DROs interact is essentially the same as international relations. Models of international relations all state that with a lack of an international force the international community is a constant state of anarchy. Yes, under a liberal understanding of human nature and that model, dros can function. However, if one employs a realist model that views human nature as far less principled, the possibility for Dro's forming into states remains.

No, all that is necessary for DRO's to operate is a minimax situation.

Think your neglecting simple human nature. Your system would work if everyone agreed on it that i see that, however its contrary to the last 200000years of evolution. Our sociaties evolve they cannot be created by ideology. If your ideas came through people would start building new sociaty. The question is not whos gonna stop the dro from becoming goverment but whos gonna stop people from creating one?

I have two big problems with this: 1. The ease of ruining one's reputation by unfounded rumor; 2. Capitalism has, in its long history, for more been part of the problem than the solution. Interesting ideas though.

I think you put too much faith in human nature. Everything would fall apart beneath our feet and no one would clean up the mess because they wouldn't have the power to do so. I'm always open to new ideas but with this... I just think it would cause more problems than we already have. I think it would force us back to the stone age.

Good points made, however this only deals with a 'police force' really. Forgive me if I'm looking into it a bit too much here, but what about city building codes? I mean, we already have architectural organizations such as the AIA & NCARB, but when it comes down to particular cities, what will regulate that? After all, if you live in a small residential area, I think you'd be quite pissed if a 50 story skyscraper was built next door.

Then there's currently certain regulations that determine what can/not be done with/put in a building. Hmm... like I said before, I like the ideas of anarchy... but I still wonder how problems like this could be addressed... If you don't have an answer, do you know where I could go to some good sources?

Healthy, Do you think a business might benefit from a DRO? in any way? ( Water, electricity, parking, roads, airtravel?) And do you think that people support DROS For that reason? If people liked building codes ( And they most CERTAINLY do ), it would get done. A DRO ( or a band of DROS) could take away everything a business needs if they didn't abide by the rules. no violence necessary :)

The problems in our country come from the ignorance and the fear of the masses. If we empower and educate ourselves and do things like impeach stupid presidents and congressmen, we would have a much better nation.

Only if you make the other pay. The poeple who make money are the one that sell weapons to your own government (your money). A DRo is stuck to pay the weapon itself.

There's something vaguely feudal about this idea. With DROs in the place of Lords. Most societies evolve from a collection of local powers to a single, unified government. They must have good reasons for doing so (even if also carries negative consequences)?

This stuff sounds too utopian for my taste, and it sounds ridiculous when it comes to criminal law. It also seems pretty ignorant of human behavior. Nice video explaining it though. I had never had the opportunity to hear the anarcho-capitalist point of view.

I think it's everything is cash, rather than cashless. In other words.. there's a price tag on anything. It's like, capitalism extended to every aspect of human society; a world where government is erased and only the market remains. I think he answered the 'personalized' thing in the previous video, I could be wrong... I don't want to put words in his mouth though o_o;;

I really doubt that's what he's saying. I assume DROs would just deal with the things our government takes care of now, effectively replacing public services with private ones, and things like ordering pizza would take place in normal market transactions... right, g0at?

Ok, so, DROs provide protection, and they are kept in check by competing DROs. Could these DROs combine forces to stop an outside invader? Or would they simply happen to be working towards a common goal because all of the clients for all of the DROs would want the same thing (protection from invaders)?

Everyone is so afraid of change regardless what the change. I'm not saying a agree with g0at, but we need an alternative than the system that allowed our government to be hijacked from within by criminal scum. Are you more afraid of change or afraid of submitting to a government which treats you as an unequal.
