Standard record and playback is 60 fields/sec (30 frames/sec). This is why when the original high speed 3 second burst is replayed, it now lasts 4 times longer (12 seconds). And as far as being "black", because your camera's shutter is working 4 times as fast, it's harder for the sensor to get light. And it will take more light to get a nice, clear picture. __________________________________________________
