the falling decorated diminished 7th passage is like 1 passage near the end of the moonlight sonata 3rd movement linking to the coda(Exactly same notes)

Please keep in mind that Chopin had no intention of this piece being published. Julian Fontana was instructed not to publish the piece after Chopin's death, but did so anyway in order to display Chopin's genius to the world. Chopin himself thought that it sounded too much like Moonlight Sonata, and he didn't want it published for that specific reason.

oh yes i found it. who cares. its not like chopin stole the whole song but yes it was very wrong to copy that part of beethovens sonata (op.27). and there are some other similarities but they both have different melodies and it should'nt be counted as copied

Hi once again; A minute after my previous reply, I had a flash of inspiration and looked up the Moscheles piece on IMSLP (if you have'nt come across it, just google it - an absolute treasure trove of music, with some rare piano scores - all free) - the piece is Impromptu Op.89. You will notice a similarity in shape of the start of the semiquaver theme, but if Chopin really thought it was close to his piece, he must have been having a too much coffee day.

Ignaz Moscheles - I'm not entirely sure of the name of the piece in question, but it may have also been an impromtu. It has been many years since I saw an extract of the score in a book, but the Moscheles piece was in a major key, and its a little hard to imagine how similar it is to the Chopin piece.

I think I read somewhere that Liszt sightread the Chopin etudes Op. 10; Chopin may have been the better composer but even he acknowledged Liszt as the better performer technically and musically.

If you can't remember the beautiful tune from the middle part (that returns in the coda) there is something wrong with your musical memory.
