wafers44 ::: Favorites t mobile told me today that while outside the usa (europe, etc) on wifi using their sim card, calling back to usa is like calling within usa (deduct from plan minutes). Anybody knows otherwise ?? 07-08-02 17:38:24 __________________________________________________
Halloelle ::: Favorites wow, very good!! 07-07-29 11:20:45 __________________________________________________
dethl ::: Favorites As long as you have the Hotspot@home addon to the plan no minutes come out of your plan when on a wi-fi hotspot. 07-07-12 23:42:15 __________________________________________________
bell7519 ::: Favorites I know this a stupid question but does this mean the call is free of charge if you call using the Wifi connection - it doesn't come out of your allowance? 07-07-08 16:35:05 __________________________________________________
dawood1981 ::: Favorites Also, in future, there will be support for 3G devices as well, meaning, we will be able to seamlessly switch over betweem GSM, Wi-Fi and 3G networks. Plus, there will a lot of cool new features which will serve the purpose of being a landline killer. Kudos to T-Mobile (and the vendors, Alcatel-Lucent, Nokia and Kineto Wireless) for making this happen. This is truly the first step taken towards changing the way we use mobile phones. I am sure this will be great. 07-07-01 15:06:25 __________________________________________________
dawood1981 ::: Favorites Excellent review. One thing I would like to clarify is what was mentioned about the T-Zones functionality while connected over Wi-Fi. The reason it connects to the GPRS network is to make sure there is a seamless handover while on an active data session. Under the current implementation, you can have an active data session (eg; run a continuous download) and walk out of Wi-Fi coverage and your download will not be interrupted when you have moved over to the regular GSM network. 07-07-01 15:05:57 __________________________________________________
giantcandy ::: Favorites so...are they going to put it on nice phones...like maybe the next mobile 6 device? because I'm not going to by a crap phone just for this....hmmm 07-07-01 01:08:33 __________________________________________________
mariersteve ::: Favorites woah!! I hope a similar system goes up and running in Canada..if I was in the US I'd get this kind of service immediately!! way to go T Mobile!! 07-06-30 01:31:44 __________________________________________________
peestandingup ::: Favorites This is actually very cool. BTW, does the phone connect to 802.11g or 802.11b networks? Or both?? I ask because I have my router set to ONLY 802.11g (for faster speeds), so obviously 802.11b devices wont even see my network. Thanks for the review! 07-06-27 18:42:25 __________________________________________________ |
