canuck21 ::: Favorites I would say that Ian Curtis was at most 30% of Joy Division. He was an excellent lyricist and he did the vocal melodies. He was was an extraordinary performer. The rest did the music that is a big part of the Joy Division sound. When they because New Order, the dynamic changed, but IMO the band was as good as Joy Division up until their temporary split in 1993. He was a quarter of the band... and I think any genuine New Order/JD fan would recognise that this, of all bands, was one where ALL the band made an equal contribution to the genius total.
