1lasalas ::: Favorites 2008-01-07 18:10:26 In August 1967, i saw the Sunshine Company along with The Buffalo Springfield, The Association, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and a local group called The Young Men at the Anaheim Convention Center. This was my first ever concert and will treasue that experience all my life. __________________________________________________
cgboomer ::: Favorites 2008-01-06 02:14:56 i know what you mean! i stopped listening to k-earth in l.a. they just play the top oldie hits over and over. i like the b side songs and the one hit wonders. there is so much stuff out there from the past that they just don't play! __________________________________________________
Stacela ::: Favorites 2007-12-29 16:17:48 Come to think of it they do. __________________________________________________
damelola ::: Favorites 2007-12-28 21:19:39 sounds a lot like mamas and papas in my opinion __________________________________________________
vinylsingleman ::: Favorites 2007-12-20 21:15:42 The line I find most intriguing: "Once I used to think that the world belonged to me. Now it belongs to someone else". Everybody goes through this, whether they like to admit it or not. Though not everyone reacts the same way when they experience it. __________________________________________________
thunderbird1958 ::: Favorites 2007-12-12 23:21:14 I hate it when some media moron comes up with a playlist that limits what people can listen to on the radio. __________________________________________________
thunderbird1958 ::: Favorites 2007-12-12 16:10:14 It is probably a lot easier than you think. I will send you a message with my home email address as I am getting ready to leave work and won't be back online until sometime tonight. __________________________________________________
artlongjr ::: Favorites 2007-12-12 15:31:27 I think those labels were owned by the same parent company. Soul City was a Johnny Rivers label, and I believe Johnny was originally on Imperial. __________________________________________________
68enxy ::: Favorites 2007-12-12 10:13:14 Our Oshkosh and Green Bay oldies stations have the same problem! They think the top 10 is all we want to hear. They must be from the MTV generation and don't understand what an old song can mean in terms of memories, that point in time when we heard a song, what we were doing, who we were with, what we were driving, etc. etc. That's why this site is so wonderful. If I only knew how to get my vinyl onto the computer, I'd make even more people happy! __________________________________________________
68enxy ::: Favorites 2007-12-12 09:29:14 Yes, this is a very good song. I tried to find their recording of "Up, Up and Away", I couldn't find it on any singles lists.I think that the Sunshine Company recorded on "Imperial". The Fifth Dimension recorded on Soul City, Bell and their last Hit?, on ABC. None on Imperial. __________________________________________________
danr27 ::: Favorites 2007-11-17 20:25:09 A Detroit oldies station wouldn't play this when I requested it, saying if it was from this era it had to have made the top 20 and instead only topped out at #36. Good to finally hear it again. And I stopped listening to the oldies station. __________________________________________________
thunderbird1958 ::: Favorites 2007-11-13 23:02:21 My pleasure..I think ;-) __________________________________________________
