Description:

Yes folks Wild Turkeys have made a comeback with a successful launch in Houston County. They have vision three times greater than our own and usually can be seen near steep hills for quick escape. They also just about became our National mascot--only missing by one vote. This is a young male turkey before he develops his fully ruffled blue face. When older they travel in harems of females who are mainly brown cammo to protect their nests. The Red-tailed Hawk is quite a sight to see and have been known to return to the same area every year.
